Thanks to everyone that participated in our last poll in June! With your input, we were able to set some plans in place for our Saturday event, which will be kid-friendly and in the $10-25/person cost range. Specific details will be announced shortly, but here is the plan for August 7th & 8th:
Friday, August 7th: No host event at Donnelly’s Sports Bar & Grill in Medford (evening event)
Saturday, August 8th: BBQ picnic/potluck at Joseph Stewart State Park (Lost Creek Lake) day use area (daytime event)
If you live out of the area and are in need of overnight accommodations for that weekend, please see our “Need a hotel?” page link under the blog banner for details. Fran Settell was kind enough to arrange a block of rooms at the Fairfield Inn (Marriott) in Central Point under her corporate rate discount through Gazelle Collision. The block of 10 rooms will only be held for our group until July 28th, so reserve yours now. If you call or reserve online after that date, the rate will still be honored, but you will be subject to room availability.
Our next planning meeting will be held on Thursday, July 9th, at 7:30pm at Abby’s Pizza in White City. If you live in the area, we’d love to have you attend, as we could sure use the planning help for Saturday’s event. The meeting has been announced on both Classmates and Facebook (Eagle Point HS – Class of 1984 group). If you have any questions, please leave a comment here on the blog and someone will contact you directly.
Lastly, we could really use your help contacting our fellow classmates. If you know anyone that has a current e-mail address, mailing address or phone number, please send it on to Kim Thurman at “weak4wineATgmailDOTcom” (sorry for the funny listing, but it eliminates all those spam mails–you guys know the proper symbols) ASAP. We’re now in the process of scrubbing the list obtained from the D9 Foundation and your help would truly be appreciated. Also, be sure to forward on the address of this blog to anyone you know from the class, as this is the most cost-effective way we have to communicate our reunion information. Thanks!!
